2026年10月29日(木)から11月3日(火祝)まで、横浜・山手111番館で個展を開催します。

会場となる、横浜の山手111番館は、1926年に建てられ、今年で創建100年を迎える洋館です。港の見える丘公園のローズガーデンに隣接していて、会期はちょうど秋薔薇の咲く頃。

2014年頃から作家として活動するなかで、ずっと「絵そのものが、時間を経てアンティークのように残っていくこと」をひとつの目標に、薔薇や草花を描いてきました。そんな自分にとって、100年という時間を重ねてきたこの場所で、秋薔薇の季節に展示できることをとても嬉しく思っています。

そして、会場で皆さんにお会いできることを楽しみにしています。

今回の展示では、トレーシングペーパーに墨で描いた新作を中心に、過去作品やドローイング、制作の途中で生まれたラフや資料などもあわせて展示します。

完成した作品だけではなく、その前後にあるものも少し見てもらえたらと思っています。

昔の絵や、残していた言葉を見返していると、大切にしたいもの、表現したい事、届けたい事は、思っていたほど変わっていないのかもしれません。

哀しい事と美しいものは、なぜかいつも少しだけ似ている。

生きることのままならなさと、そのなかにある幸福、哀しみ、痛み、美しさと救い。

そういったものを、花や花言葉、人々の姿を手がかりに、美しい秋薔薇の香りと共に、お届けしたいと思っています。

From October 29 to November 3, 2026, I will be holding a solo exhibition at Bluff No.111 in Yokohama, Japan.

Built in 1926, Bluff No.111 celebrates its 100th anniversary this year. The house stands beside the rose garden at Harbor View Park, and the exhibition will take place during the season of autumn roses.

Having drawn roses and other plants for many years, I am especially happy to be showing my work in this place.

The exhibition will feature new works made primarily with sumi ink on tracing paper, alongside earlier works, drawings, sketches, and materials from the process of making them.

Looking back at older works, I realized that although the way I draw has changed, many of the things I have continued to look at have remained surprisingly similar: flowers, human figures, houses, night, and the uneasy closeness between sorrow and beauty.

Sadness and beauty have always seemed, somehow, a little alike to me.

Through flowers and human figures, I draw the difficulty of being alive, and the happiness, sorrow, pain, and beauty that exist within it.

This exhibition brings together what I am making now with some of the traces that led me here.
