Hakkachan is a Japanese artist based in Tokyo.

Working primarily with sumi ink on tracing paper, Hakkachan creates two-dimensional works inspired by human figures and plants.

Through these motifs, the work explores sorrow, distortion, the difficulty of being alive, and the beauty that exists within them.

This site shares original works for sale, exhibition information, and updates on Hakkachan’s practice.
